Who am I

My name is Katia Velázquez and I’m a Mexican 3D and 2D animator.

I'm a 22-year-old student who has loved art in all its forms for as long as I can remember. I've always used drawing to express my ideas, but it wasn't until college that I discovered the magic of animation—and completely fell in love with it. Currently, I’m studying at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, where I had the pleasure of working as a 3D Animation Lead for Discovery Kids.

What I do

I tell stories through my animations, I truly belive in the power of art as a media to communicate all kind of things and I love bringing to life inanimated objects .

Watching people’s reaction to my animations is my favourite part, the way they laugh or get excited it’s just awesome.
